I’m grateful to the countless archivists and librarians with whom I’ve collaborated throughout my education and career. I owe a special debt of gratitude to the information professionals who’ve kindly shared their time and expertise to support our class this semester. I’ve taught a number of archive- and library-focused courses over the past 20 years; I’m indebted to my collaborators, teaching assistants, and students in “Bookshelves to Big Data,” “Archives, Libraries + Databases,” “Digital Archives and Institutional Memory,” and “Data Archive Infrastructure.” I’ve also had the great pleasure of working with dozens and dozens of NYC-based knowledge institutions through my decade of work on the Board of Directors of the New York Metropolitan Library Council. All of these individuals and institutions have shaped this course.
And thanks to my friend Philipp Schmitt, whom I can always count on to help me make some aesthetic tweaks to my class websites 🙂
